These speakers will enable teachers to hook up to their laptops, desks and LCD projectors, making teaching whole class lessons on the internet, such as with Brainpop ( a program provided by PTO Enrichment Grant funds). Thanks to the PTO Technology Committee, Lani Gerson and Brenda Doucette, Instructional Technology Specialist for Angier, Cabot and Pierce Schools.<br>

While no one was injured, the school building was damaged beyond any kind of immediate repair. The students and teachers have all been moved to three different locations around Somerville. Most of the school computers, equipment, and other resources have to be replaced. </FONT></FONT></SPAN></div>

We also need to maintain the quality of the gym floor. <B style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">Boots, shoes, sandals, Crocs</B> and other footwear are unsafe for your child to wear in this physical environment and may also damage the floor surface. </FONT></div>

Registration is underway for the winter session of Newton Community Education. In addition to the classes listed in our NewKids flyer which has gone home in all your kids' backpacks, we've added a science club for girls, run by "Wicked Cool for Kids." This class is offered at Zervas on Wednesdays and Peirce on Thursdays, starting the week of February 25, right after February vacation. In this class kids will create their own bath and beauty products using chemistry. They'll make their own lip<br>
gloss, lotions, soap, bath salts, and fizzy tints. They'll also dig deep into the world of geology and make a beautiful rock display, then learn to make crystals, and select polished stones to make jewelry. The class is for kids in grades 1-4. Tuition is $120 for this eight-week session.<br>
