[CabotCommunity] Raincoats for a worthy Cause- a special request

 The family of Sofia Hertz, 3rd grade(Ms. Vaswani's class), will be traveling to Guatemala soon, and
have received a request from an organization they have been involved
in supporting for several years. ?The organization is called Safe
Passage (can be found on line), whose mission is to help the children
who work in the garbage dump in Guatemala City in order to provide for
their families. ?Safe Passage helps these children get an education,
have access to medical care, and learn skills which can help them break
out of the cycle of poverty. ?A promised shipment of 500 raincoats fell
through for the kids, and their rainy season is around the corner.
?Safe Passage has asked if we can bring raincoats for children ages 2
to 18 with us when we come to Guatemala.



  If
you have any raincoats to give away, ?we would appreciate if you would
bring them in to Cabot School on? Tuesday and Thursday, next week. ?We will
collect them in a carton in the lobby at the blacktop entrance.
