Dear Families,


Attached please find a press release from the Police Department regarding the recent suspicious person incidents. ?If you should have any questions or concerns, please contact Bruce Apotheker at 617-796-2103.


This press release came to the schools on Friday. I want to share it with you so you can stay informed even if you are away.


I urge you to read the information. While it is certainly alarming. I urge you to think about how to talk with your child so as not to upset or frighten children. Most elementary aged students may not be able to fully process this ?incident. ?I urge you to review all safety information and procedures you have in place with your child re walking to and from school and avoid too much reporting of the facts as presented.


You may want to refer to the Child Assault Prevention Program (CAPP)?lessons and most of all encourage children to report any suspicions first to you or the school BUT NOT a peer.


As always I encourage families to join the two morning ?walking school bus routes and ?to use school department transportation.
