Attention Cabot Students and Families- it’s the Cabot Fair Raffle!!

 

Cabot students have been doing a great job selling their raffle tickets. Don’t forget to ensure the ticket stubs are completed with the name of the student selling the ticket and their teacher in order for them to count towards the prize parties at the end of the contest. 



Don't forget to turn those tickets in ASAP.  To make things a little more interesting before the contest ends we will be awarding tickets to students that can be used for FREE games and rides on the day of the Fair. The class that has returned the most sold tickets and monies by the end of school this Thursday, April 17th will be awarded 

FREE Fair tickets – we will select one class from Kindergarten through 2nd grade and another from 3rd through 5th grade. 


Every student in those 2 classes will receive a certificate that they will be able to redeem on the day of the Fair for FREE ride and game tickets!
Remember the contest for the ice-cream party and the cupcake decorating parties are awarded to the top 2 classes who have sold the most by end of school on Friday, May 2nd. Tickets returned after 3pm on that day will be eligible for the general raffle prizes but will not count towards the contest.

And remember extra tickets are available from Mrs. Driscoll in the school office!

 



Again this year we have a wonderful selection of great prizes to be given away to lucky raffle ticket buyers! Lots of gift certificates and items donated by area businesses suitable for all ages 

are available to be won. Now we are reaching out to Cabot families to help make the 2008 raffle better than ever.  You can help by offering to donate goods or services to this worthy cause that benefits all our children.  The following is a list of ideas for making a contribution, but feel free to be creative.  No donation is too small, and your participation is greatly appreciated.

 

Ø      Offer to teach a skill to children or adults: cooking, skating, yoga, sewing, knitting, tutoring, music, computer or camera technology;

Ø      Offer services:  baking, garden design, custom painting, personal fitness training, yard work, interior design, party planning, pet sitting, manicure, pedicure, haircut;

Ø      Arts and crafts ideas:  a painting, hand-made jewelry, a hand-knit sweater, a made-to-order scarf or quilt, a craft party for children, a family portrait, pottery;

Ø      Sports related donations:  tickets to a sporting event, a round of golf, sport lessons or equipment, sports clothing;

Ø      Food and entertainment options:  gift certificate to your favorite restaurant; deliver a meal to the winner’s home, movie tickets, concert tickets, theater tickets, DVDs, CDs;

Ø      Themed gift baskets (create one yourself or join with friends to complete one):  children’s books, Mother’s or Father’s Day gifts, ethnic food, wine and cheese, a spring picnic, beach toys, travel games for kids, arts and crafts supplies, bath and body items, birthday party supplies, board games, movie night.

Ø      Vacation time: do you have a second home that you would be willing to donate time away in? 

 

The Cabot Fair is well attended not just by the family and friends of our 420 children but also by the greater Newton community and remember that your donation is tax deductible.

 

We would like to receive donations by April 25.  Please either place your donation in the Cabot Raffle mailbox (located in the school office) in an envelope marked  “Cabot Fair Raffle Coordinators” or notify us by email or telephone of your donation. Do not hesitate to call or email should you have any questions, need more information, or have any additional ideas for the raffle organizers.
