Do you receive a copy of the TAB? Well make sure that you read the Guest
Commentary on page 15 written by Newton parents Lisa Mirabile and Sue
Flicop. The commentary provides a cohesive and well argued case as to why
the State should give more education aid to cities like Newton. Do you know
that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts contributes 38.9% of the public
education spending (K-12) in the State, placing it 44th in the nation for
state education funding?

Whether you agree or disagree this commentary provides a lot of salient
information that is worth while reading. And if you believe that the state
funding of education needs to be improved consider attending the Stand For
