[CabotCommunity] We need YOUR Help to clean up Cabot!

Dear Cabot Families,

 

On Saturday April 28th and Sunday April 29th we are hoping to clean up
Cabot, inside and out. You don't need me to tell you how much could be
done!!! This is the only weekend in the year we are allowed by School
authorities to come into school and do improvements. So obviously we want to
tackle as many projects as possible. How many we can do depend upon you and
your family! Our thanks go those families who have already volunteered.
However, we so far only 10% of our total families at Cabot have stepped
forward. We need more of YOU!

 

Outside projects include spreading mulch, planting and general clean-up of
the playground and outside areas around the school. Inside projects are
specific teacher requests: for example -

-          repainting bookshelves in Ms. Milhams classroom

-          repainting the benches outside Mr. Millers classroom 

-          cleaning tables, chairs & cubbies and cleaning up art supplies in
Ms. Cains classroom

-          painting a large bulletin board in Mr. Ripps classroom

-          reorganizing the classroom library by genres, and putting up
reading strategy and number posters on the wall in Mr. Tirrells classroom

-          cleaning the gym mats for Ms. Bennett

-          painting in the literacy center for Ms. Nelson and Ms. Dinsmore.

 

In addition, we would love to give the Cabot bathrooms a make-over like the
3rd floor boys bathroom got last year! So if you think the bathroom your
child uses at school deserves painting then come and help us. We will only
paint those bathrooms if we have sufficient volunteers from the grades on
that floor. So why not recruit some buddies and volunteer now!

 

With your help we can do these jobs! There are 3 time slots available:
Saturday from 9am-12:30pm and 1-4pm & on Sunday 9:30am to noon.
