The PTO feels strongly that there are 2 issues about which we need to hear
from YOU!

The first issue concerns the potentially dangerous traffic congestion that
exists outside school at drop-off and pick-up times. Our concern is that one
of our children may get seriously hurt as cars as try to negotiate the too
crowded streets. Leaving things as they are is not safe for our children.
Working with city and elected officials, Dr. Quarcoo, the Cabot School
Council and the Cabot PTO will devise a new traffic plan for the Fall 2007
to ensure that our children are safe and that is operationally feasible
given the many logistical constraints facing our school. This is your chance
to help influence what that plan will be!
 
The second issue concerns how the PTO raises funds. First, we would like to
acknowledge that the Cabot community has been very generous and this year is
expected to raise nearly $55,000. We want to learn how you feel about our
current fundraisers and get feedback on some suggestions. How you respond
will be incorporated into the PTO planning and budget which is voted upon at
the last PTO meeting of the year on June 12th at 8:40am.

 

So please take the time to complete this survey in full to ensure your voice
and opinions are counted. It shouldn't take very much time and is easy to
complete. The survey will be open from 6am Wednesday, April 4th to complete
online until Wednesday, April 11th at midnight. After that time the
responses will be collected and the PTO will provide a summary of results to
the community. If you do not have access to a computer and wish to complete
a paper copy please take an available copy from the PTO bulletin board or
leave a request for one in the PTO mailbox so that you too can complete the
survey before the deadline. A reminder flyer will be coming home in
backpacks today!
