Allowing Childhood 

An evening discussion for Cabot parents and teachers 

Wednesday, March 28th, 7-9 p.m.

 

Please consider attending this important evening program inspired by the
ideas in the book, The Blessing of a Skinned Knee: Using Jewish Teachings to
Raise Self-Reliant Children by Wendy Mogel.  You do not have to read the
book to attend.  It is serving as a springboard for discussion.  And, you
certainly don't need to be Jewish!   The discussion will focus on five areas
of concern to teachers and parents:  Setting realistic expectations,
scheduling or not to schedule, respecting others, resisting over-indulgence,
encouraging independence and self-control.  Interested?  Please come to the
discussion.
