Cabot Fundraising
Cabot PTO fundraisers makes many events and opportunities possible for our students and staff.
This year, we are targeting to raise over $76,000 to support a variety enrichment programs for our children, as well as technology purchases for classrooms, books for the libraries, support for field trips, defray teacher’s out-of-pocket expenditures and much much more. We also help fund great Cabot activities like the 5th grade field trip, the Invention Invasion, and the Cabot Fair. To view details, see the Fundraising and Spending Plan 2009-10.
To help support these activities, the Cabot PTO holds a number of fundraisers throughout the year:

Campaign for Cabot
In response to our members the PTO several years ago launched the Campaign For Cabot, a check writing campaign to solicit for funds replacing other fundraising activities. This is our annual major fundraiser which is launched November 1st to early February. Last year we raised a fantastic grand total of $28,125 with 158 families participating - that's a record 53% of Cabot families!
Giftwrap
In the Fall the PTO offers families the chance to purchase a range of gift wrap & other gift items for delivery in time for the holidays. This year the ordering process will be available online so that students can encourage distant family members to place orders on their behalf. Each year there is a fabulous prize for the student selling the most!
Boxtops for Education
Box tops for Education starts up again in the Fall. Last year, the program brought in over $200 for the PTO. Participation is easy. Collect boxtop tickets on specifically marked boxes of grocery store products such as Saran Wrap, Kleenex tissus, Betty Crocker mixes, Ziploc bags and Old El Paso products. (See full list of qualifying products.) Bring these to school and deposit them into the marked box in the main lobby.
If you shop on line you can continue to benefit Cabot by logging onto www.boxtops4education.com before making any purchase. Follow instructions to join the booster club for free and designate Cabot as the school you are supporting. You can then start shopping at the BoxTops Marketplace or directly from the shopping section of the Cabot School PTO web site. Many stores are participants of this program and will donate a percentage of your purchase amount to the school.
You might also want to consider getting the box top Visa card that gives a full 1 percent back to Cabot with every purchase anywhere Visa is accepted at no annual fee. You can apply on-line at www.boxtops4education.com or call 1-800-650-0235. Those supermarket and gasoline bills can soon add up to Cabot dollars!
